Mr. Jorma Halonen will meet with CBN participants to talk about "Opportunities for business and investments in Asia".
Mr. Jorma Halonen, former Executive Vice President and Deputy CEO of AB Volvo. Mr. Halonen’s duties in recent years have included
responsibility for Volvo's expansion in Asia. AB Volvo has ventured into the large markets in Asia using different strategies to tackle the vast differences in the markets facing their industries – from the large but mature market in Japan to the emerging markets of China and India.
Mr. Jorma Halonen started his career in the telecommunication and computer industry. In 1990 he switched from electronics to the motor vehicle industry and became the President and CEO of Oy Scan-Automotive, Oy Scan Auto and Saab Auto. In 1996 Mr. Halonen became the Vice President of Scania Latin America and later President and CEO of the company. In 2001 he became the President and CEO of Volvo Truck Corporation in Sweden. From 2004 to 2008 Mr. Jorma Halonen served as Executive Vice President and Deputy CEO of the Volvo Group. Today, he is Chairman of the Board or a member of the Board of several companies and organizations all over the world.
